Project Indigo is a Hackney based LGBTQ youth group and counselling service for young (13-25) LGBTQ people or for people who are questioning their sexual or gender identity. It’s based just down the road from Sutton House, and we collaborated with group leader Susy Langsdale to curate an exhibition of their work. Following two workshops (one at Sutton House, where we gave them a tour and spoke about activism) and another at Off Centre, where the group regularly meets, Susy curated the exhibition as part of our ‘School of Anarchy’ season, which looked at LGBTQ activism in response to Sutton House’s own radical history. The exhibition ran over summer 2017.
Thanks to all of the members of Project Indigo, Susy and to our placement student Marina Pejovic.
